I met George through a gaming forum many years ago when I was a teenager and we got to know another through our love of gaming. From there on and as we both aged, we talked about not just games but also films and other media where we found that we had a common interest in games, films and politics. It was a bit random but I ended up moving into a spare room that George had for around 5yrs during which our friendship only deepened. In 2015 we all (including my parents) took a trip to Japan. I never thought of George as disabled, I mean, sure he was but it never really crossed my mind too much.. . just do it! has been my modus operandi since forever.... Eventually I moved out of the room and well, moved countries to Japan (Brexit... yeah goodbye!) but even though there were 6000miles of distance between us, we remained friends, talking about the latest games and films that we thought we'd both like.

George was the best twin brother I could have had and I will miss him enormously. We had what might be considered a 'difficult' childhood but supported each other through the ups and downs, as we always have. George was intelligent, witty, fiercely independent and, above all, a kind and decent person who I will always be hugely proud to call my twin brother. Rest in peace, George.
